Imipramine tablets and capsules are used to treat depression. Imipramine tablets are also used to prevent bedwetting in children. Imipramine is in a class of medications called tricyclic antidepressants. It treats depression by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances in the brain that are needed to maintain mental balance. There is not enough information to explain how imipramine prevents bedwetting.Imipramine comes as a tablet and a capsule to take by mouth. When imipramine tablets or capsules are used to treat depression, they are usually taken one or more times a day and may be taken with or without food. When imipramine tablets are used to prevent bedwetting in children, they are usually taken one hour before bedtime. Children who wet the bed early in the evening may be given one dose in the mid-afternoon and another dose at bedtime. Try to take imipramine at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take imipramine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Your doctor may start you on a low dose of imipramine and gradually increase your dose.It may take 1-3 weeks or longer for you to feel the full benefit of imipramine. Continue to take imipramine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking imipramine without talking to your doctor. Your doctor will probably want to decrease your dose gradually.Imipramine is also used occasionally to treat eating disorders and panic disorders. Talk to your doctor about the possible risks of using this medication for your condition.

Letroz ( Femara, Generic Letrozole )

This medication is used in women who have experienced menopause (change of life; end of monthly menstrual periods) to: treat breast cancer that has spread within the breast or to other areas of the body. treat early breast cancer in women who have already been treated with surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy. Letrozole is sometimes used right after these treatments and sometimes after 5 years of treatment with a medication called tamoxifen (Nolvadex). Letrozole is used to stop any cancer cells that remain after these treatments from spreading. Letrozole is in a class of medications known as nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. It decreases the amount of estrogen produced by the body. This can slow or stop the growth of some breast tumors that need estrogen to grow.Letrozole is usually taken once a day, with or without food. Try to take letrozole at around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain anything you do not understand. Take letrozole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.You may need to take letrozole for several years or longer. Continue to take letrozole even if you feel well. Do not stop taking letrozole without talking to your doctor.If you forget to take a dose of letrozole, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose and do not take more than one dose of letrozole in one day.

Acular Ls ( Generic Ketorolac Tromethamine Opth.Soln. )

Ketorolac ophthalmic is used to treat itchy eyes caused by allergies. It also is used to treat swelling and redness (inflammation) that can occur after cataract surgery. Ketorolac ophthalmic is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It works by stopping the release of substances that cause allergy symptoms and inflammation.Ketorolac ophthalmic comes as eyedrops. For allergy symptoms, one drop is usually applied to the affected eyes four times a day. For inflammation after cataract surgery, one drop is usually applied to the affected eye four times a day for 2 weeks beginning 24 hours after surgery. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use ketorolac ophthalmic exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more than prescribed by your doctor.Your allergy symptom (itchy eyes) should improve when you apply the eyedrops. If your symptoms do not improve or they worsen, call your doctor.For treatment of itchy eyes caused by allergies, continue to use ketorolac ophthalmic until you are no longer exposed to the substance that causes your symptom, allergy season is over, or your doctor tells you to stop using it.To use the eyedrops, follow these instructions: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Use a mirror or have someone else put the drops in your eye. Remove the protective cap. Make sure the end of the dropper is not chipped or cracked. Avoid touching the dropper tip against your eye or anything else. Hold the dropper tip down at all times to prevent drops from flowing back into the bottle and contaminating the remaining contents. Lie down or tilt your head back. Holding the bottle between your thumb and index finger, place the dropper tip as near as possible to your eyelid without touching it. Brace the remaining fingers of that hand against your cheek or nose. With the index finger of your other hand, pull the lower lid of the eye down to form a pocket. Drop the prescribed number of drops into the pocket made by the lower lid and the eye. Placing drops on the surface of the eyeball can cause stinging. Close your eye and press lightly against the lower lid with your finger for 2-3 minutes to keep the medication in the eye. Do not blink. Replace and tighten the cap right away. Do not wipe or rinse it off. Wipe off any excess liquid from your cheek with a clean tissue. Wash your hands again.

Ecosprin ( Asa, Acetylsalicylic Acid, Alka-Seltzer, Ascriptin A/D, Aspergum, Bufferin, Easprin, Ecotrin, Empirin, Generic Asprin )

Prescription aspirin is used to relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints), osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by breakdown of the lining of the joints), systemic lupus erythematosus (condition in which the immune system attacks the joints and organs and causes pain and swelling) and certain other rheumatologic conditions (conditions in which the immune system attacks parts of the body). Nonprescription aspirin is used to reduce fever and to relieve mild to moderate pain from headaches, menstrual periods, arthritis, colds, toothaches, and muscle aches. Nonprescription aspirin is also used to prevent heart attacks in people who have had a heart attack in the past or who have angina (chest pain that occurs when the heart does not get enough oxygen). Nonprescription aspirin is also used to reduce the risk of death in people who are experiencing or who have recently experienced a heart attack. Nonprescription aspirin is also used to prevent ischemic strokes (strokes that occur when a blood clot blocks the flow of blood to the brain) or mini-strokes (strokes that occur when the flow of blood to the brain is blocked for a short time) in people who have had this type of stroke or mini-stroke in the past. Aspirin will not prevent hemorrhagic strokes (strokes caused by bleeding in the brain). Aspirin is in a group of medications called salicylates. It works by stopping the production of certain natural substances that cause fever, pain, swelling, and blood clots.Aspirin is also available in combination with other medications such as antacids, pain relievers, and cough and cold medications. This monograph only includes information about the use of aspirin alone. If you are taking a combination product, read the information on the package or prescription label or ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.Prescription aspirin comes as an extended-release tablet (tablet that releases medication slowly over a period of time). Prescription aspirin is usually taken two or more times a day. Nonprescription aspirin is usually taken once a day to lower the risk of a heart attack or stroke. Aspirin may cause Reye's syndrome (a serious condition in which fat builds up on the brain, liver, and other body organs) in children and teenagers, especially if they have a virus such as chicken pox or the flu.If you have had oral surgery or surgery to remove your tonsils in the last 7 days, talk to your doctor about which types of aspirin are safe for you.Delayed-release tablets begin to work some time after they are taken. Do not take delayed-release tablets for fever or pain that must be relieved quickly.Stop taking aspirin and call your doctor if your fever lasts longer than 3 days, if your pain lasts longer than 10 days, or if the part of your body that was painful becomes red or swollen. You may have a condition that must be treated by a doctor.

Urimax ( Flomax Mr, Generic Tamsulosin )

Tamsulosin is used for: Treatment of enlargement of the prostate gland in men. This condition is known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Tamsulosin (tam-SOO-loh-sin) is used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign enlargement of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). Benign enlargement of the prostate is a problem that can occur in men as they get older. The prostate gland is located below the bladder. As the prostate gland enlarges, certain muscles in the gland may become tight and get in the way of the tube that drains urine from the bladder. This can cause problems in urinating, such as a need to urinate often, a weak stream when urinating, or a feeling of not being able to empty the bladder completely.Tamsulosin helps relax the muscles in the prostate and the opening of the bladder. This may help increase the flow of urine and/or decrease the symptoms. However, tamsulosin will not shrink the prostate. The prostate may continue to get larger. It works by preventing bone breakdown and increasing bone density (thickness).Calcitonin salmon comes as a spray to be used in the nose. It is usually used once a day, alternating nostrils every day. To help you remember to use calcitonin salmon, use it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use calcitonin salmon exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Calcitonin salmon helps treat osteoporosis but does not cure it. Continue to use calcitonin salmon even if you feel well. Do not stop using calcitonin salmon without talking to your doctor.Before using calcitonin salmon nasal spray the first time, read the written instructions that come with it. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to show you how to use it. Practice using the nasal spray while he or she watches.To put the pump and bottle together, remove the rubber stopper from the bottle, and then remove the plastic protective cap from the bottom of the spray unit. Put the spray pump into the bottle and turn to tighten. Then take the plastic cover off of the top of the spray unit.Before the first time you use a new bottle, you need to prime (activate) the pump. To prime the pump, follow these steps: Allow the bottle to reach room temperature. Hold the bottle upright, and press down on the two white side arms of the pump until a full spray is produced. Zeffix ( Generic Imaivudine )

lamivudine, which is a type of medicine called a nucleoside analogue. Lamivudine is an antiviral medicine used to treat hepatitis B. (NB. Lamivudine is also used to treat HIV infection, but when used for this purpose, higher doses than those found in Zeffix are needed. See the Epivir factsheet for more information on this use of lamivudine.) Hepatitis B is a virus that infects the liver and leads to liver damage. Once the virus is inside the liver cells it multiplies. Part of this process involves the virus making copies of its genetic material (DNA). You are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless permitted by your doctor. You have severe problems with your liver. You are taking certain medicines for migraine headache of the group of ergot alkaloids (eg Migral, Cafergot, Ergodryl, Dihydergot; [not all brands listed]). Before you start to take Roxithromycin Tell your doctor if you have allergies to: Any other medicines, especially if they are in the same drug class as roxithromycin. Any other substances, including foods, preservatives or dyes.Tell your doctor if you plan on becoming pregnant while you are using Roxithromycin. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Roxithromycin passes into the breast milk. Your doctor will discuss the risks and benefits of using Roxithromycin while breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you have or have had any medical conditions, especially the following: Impaired kidney function. Problems with your liver (hepatic cirrhosis with jaundice and / or ascites). Warfarin (Coumadin, Marevan), a medicine used to prevent blood clots. Digoxin (Lanoxin), a medicine used to treat heart failure. Midazolam (Hypnovel), a medicine used to induce sleep before operations. Cyclosporin (Neoral, Sandimmun), a medicine used to prevent organ transplant rejection or to treat certain problems with the immune system. Cisapride (Prepulsid), a medicine used to treat gastrointestinal problems. Pimozide (Orap), an antipsychotic medicine. These medicines may be affected by Roxithromycin-RL, or may affect how well it works. You may need to use different amounts of your medicine, or you may need to take different medicines. Your doctor will advise you.HOW TO TAKE ROXITHROMYCIN- The recommended dosage for adults is 300mg per day. You may take this according to one of the following dosage regimens: one 300mg tablet once a dayor one 150mg tablet twice a day or two 150 mg tablets once a day The dosage of Roxithromycin for children depends on their weight. The recommended dose for children weighing 40 kg and more is 150mg twice a day. Roxithromycin should not be used for children less than 40 kg in weight.However, your doctor might advice you to take a different dose depending on your condition and your reaction to the medicine. No dose adjustment is required for the use in elderly. Roxithromycin is usually taken for 5 to 10 days for treating infections. Your doctormay want you to take Roxithromycin for a longer period. Ask your doctor for adviceif you are not sure how long you should be taking it. Continue to take Roxithromycin until the pack is finished or your doctor tells you to stop. Roxithromycin should be taken on an empty stomach to work best. Take Roxithromycin at least 15 min before or at least 3 hours after a meal.Roxithromycin tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water .
